Well here are some pictures of 190 going down the hill, early in the morning on Oct. 17, 2020  I apologize for some of them, we took them out of the car.  I did get out and take some pictures of the Camp Nelson Meadow and all the SCE equipment.  Got the tail end of a huge machine going up the hill that had it looked like wire they would string up once they got the poles up.

We finally had time to venture out and take some pictures.  The community was untouched!!!!  We are now in a little bubble, because when you leave you see something very different.  I can only imagine what it looks like going down to Camp Nelson!  Below are a couple of pictures of the SCE generator that is powering Ponderosa.  They have a security guard on duty.  They put the generator out on Fox.  We continue on out to 190

Everything looks normal until you go up the little hill and around on Fox and then you begin to see what has happened.  Community side of the road looks normal or with fire retardant.  The other side is burned.  There were tree guys cutting around the power lines.

We are coming to 190 off of Fox and then you really get the difference between the community side the the other side where the fire came.                                          And we are back to Aspen Dr and you can see they laid fire retardant .

Here are some pictures we took yesterday 10-3-20.  Some are out our upstairs window of the big burn spot in our meadow and then we cross the meadow and look at what it looks behind the trees around our meadow.  You have to look closely to realize that some of the trees are burned up on the hill.  They did a good job at keeping it on the ground but not all the time.  You will see it was burning hot and did cross 29.  They made a new firebreak between 29 and the meadow to the south, about the size of Hwy 65.  Enjoy!

Out our window showing the burn spot and also couldn't resist the aspens, they are so pretty.  We can see that they drove the fire trucks right out into meadow to the fire.

We begin our trip across the meadow to 29 or as the fireman call it 54?  They enlarged our opening so their vehicles could go through, really nice now.

These 1st pictures are when we are right across from our place and then we go left (north)

No we turn around and go back south     Notice 1 side is fine (meadow side) and the other is burned.     Now this is south of our place and it looked like it really got scary.  It jumped 29 and burned it looked like towards 190.  They may have done a back burn.  There was retardant along 190 (western divide).  No retardant anywhere we could see around us.  You can see the big equipment clearing out the trees they cut to make the huge fire break.
