Boz and Ann,
I just want to tell you both what an absolute pleasure it has been to be your first saddle kit customer.  It must have just been "meant to be" that I call right when Boz had been brainstorming the kit idea.
The kits are the same quality that you would expect from Boz Saddlery as his finished saddles.
Next is that the directions are very clear and easy to understand and nothing to be afraid of.  I am telling you the God's honest truth here. (I am a 51 year old blond female endurance rider) I got my kit just before going to work one night and I took the video and instruction sheet with me and watched it that night. The next afternoon at home alone, my husband was not even there, ha. I put the video in followed along with Boz, paused it as I went along, cooked dinner, and did the laundry all in 2 hours and 15 minutes and was done in time to go back to work! Then I rode that next morning when I got back from work!
It is a dream come true for me and my very hard to fit mare. We have tried many endurance saddles with and without trees to no avail. Her shape seems to change constantly. She can get white spots so fast and has so many that she could almost pass for a pinto!
Before ever calling Boz I researched his saddles and the owners that I spoke with all said exactly what Boz says about his saddles. Many people I spoke with have owned one Boz for a long number of years and have been able to use it on every horse that they had owned.
I can also tell you that I feel very secure in the saddle and I love how the stirrups lock in place and never throw you out of balance. There is absolutely no bulk under my knees and I have always had chronic knee pain when riding.
Although, I must say this, that some said that Boz talks a lot and is very opinionated and almost arrogant. But if you can get pass that the saddle is definitely worth it.
As far as I am concerned if you get the opportunity to speak with Boz you should feel fortunate to hear all that he has to say. I suppose if you are uncomfortable with forward thinking, innovative people who think out of the box then you might not get him. I think he is a perfectionist, gracious and hospitable. He loves horses and wants you to know what it is like to truly be one with your horse.
Please feel free to call or email me if you have any questions. If you really want a Boz but the cost has been holding you back here is your chance with the kit. It is so definitely worth it.
Happy Trails,
Nancy Paschall-Huntington
