We had a crew come to Piggly Pines and shoot a short film. They transformed our place into a Ranger Station. The movie will be about 20 minutes long and they will take it to film festivals and put it out there to see if anyone likes it and then if they do they will make it into a full length film. AND they will be back to film!!!! It was fun watching them work. They were up and going at 4:30am and worked until 9 a night. They said our meadow had so many micro climates that it would look like they shot for 10 days instead of 4. Here are some pics
They were taping our chimes so they didn't make noise, it bothered the sound equipment. Anyone got about $40,000 and want a camera? The crews quarters. Our ranger station sign. Mike (producer) and Gayland that plays the crazy ranger. They were practicing a scene where the 2 tourist (Claire and Brendon) meet the ranger. It took a couple of hours to shoot a simple scene, they do it with a wide shot over and over and then a close up over and over with each actor.
The sign ready to be put into place. They even had a forest service flag.
Mike (cute producer) sent some pics) The crazy ranger(Gayland) after he had killed the tourist. They put a lens on the camera so it looked like night but they shot this in the afternoon.
From left to right. Boz, Annie (crazy old people, Gayland (plays the ranger, Brendonand Claire (plays the tourist), Paulina (camera equipment person), Joel (Director), Ben (Whatever needs to be done person), Mike (Producer), Jose(Sound person), Charlie(Film), we missed getting Charlies dog Joe.
